Corrections Policy

Report an error — we take accuracy seriously

Our commitment

ZipCode-Data.com publishes figures sourced from the U.S. Census Bureau (ACS 2018–2022) and the Zillow Home Value Index. Source data can contain estimation error, and our processing can contain bugs. When we learn that something is wrong, we fix it.

How to report an error

Email [email protected] with:

  • the ZIP code and the page URL;
  • the specific figure you believe is incorrect;
  • the value you believe is correct and the source that supports it (if you have one).

How we handle reports

  1. We acknowledge the report and reproduce the issue.
  2. We check the figure against the original source (ACS table or Zillow ZHVI series). If our published value does not match the source, we correct it.
  3. If the source itself is the origin of the discrepancy, we note the source and its vintage rather than substituting an unverified number.
  4. If a whole profile cannot be verified, we exclude it via our quality gate instead of guessing.

What we will not do

We will not invent or “adjust” numbers to fill a gap. If we cannot source a value, we remove it rather than estimate it. See our methodology and data sources for details.
